MISCELLANEOUS FESTIVAL INFO

1Thursday Night, Feb. 16th… A Pre-Festival Jam & Birthday Party will kickoff our Festival on Thursday night. Since the 2017 Festival marks Southern Strings’ 10th year we wanted to host a Birthday Party with all the normal Birthday treats.   REGISTRATION will be open if you want to pick up your packet or you can wait until Friday morn and just enjoy the jam.

Registration will begin as early as 5:30 p.m. with the Jam beginning at 6:00 p.m.  This will be held in the Student Center (in same building as the cafeteria) directly across from the Book Store.  WE WILL HAVE A SOUTHERN STRINGS BANNER HANGING OUTSIDE SO YOU WON’T MISS US!

2- Friday Night Dinner… (additional cost of $12.00 as indicated on your registration form) will be a grand catered dinner that will reflect our 20th Year as a Dulcimer Club.  Our theme for the dinner is “A Night on the Town” and will feature some local musicians who will entertain us will we eat.  

Following our delicious meal we will play “Celebration Bingo” with very nice prices given to the winners. **NOTE… you need to be pre-registered in order to be assured of a dinner seat as we have to turn in a count prior to the festival.**

2-McSpadden Dulcimer Raffle… Southern Strings will be Raffling a brand new McSpadden Dulcimer.  You may purchase your chance to win this wonderful instrument on location or on your Registration Form.  Cost is $5.00 per chance or 5 chances for $20.00.   Purchases tickets will be placed in your registration packet and you will receive them upon arrival to the festival.

3-Friday Night Open Stage Concert will be open to festival pariticpants who want to play on stage.  So get with your club or a couple of friends and get to practicing.  (Participants are limited to two on-stage performances only.)  You may register for this at the registration table at the Festival.

4 We have worked hard to eliminate any problems for those who can not climb stairs.  There will only be a few classes in rooms on 2nd floor and if you do have a problem but also want to attend that class please let us know at the registration desk so we can see about changing locations.
